Don’t let a bad moment become a bad day
So with the aftermath of Halloween (it feels so bizarre writing this seeing as we are in Australia, but anyway) and today Melbourne Cup I’ve been fielding calls and emails from clients who haven reached out in a panic because of a ‘bad moment’ and gave in to the free flowing candy, food and alcohol .
So what do we do know? Point in fact, what’s done is done and quite frankly can’t be undone. It was a moment, an incident, an occurrence, it does not need to dictate your day or week or month.
You are not going to get fit and healthy from eating 1 salad or doing 1 session at the gym; similarly you are not going to get fat from 1 bad meal or even 1 bad day of poor food choices.
Put that bad moment behind you, regroup and refocus, remind yourself of what your long term goals and why you chose to start your health journey in the first place and put yourself back on track.
It takes 21 days for a behaviour to become habitual, and about 3 days for it to become undone. Don’t let a bad moment undo all the hard work you’ve put in.
Always continue moving forward.
